Gunnar Fernström
Investment Director of InnovationsKapital, which he joined in 1998. Gunnar has built up InnovationsKapital’s presence in the Healthcare & Life Science sector. He has been responsible for InnovationsKapital’s investments in for example Carmen Systems (acq. by Boeing Corporation) and BioInvent (IPO on OMX). He has done 17 investments and is currently representing InnKap on the boards of BoneSupport, Cellartis, Ludesi, and Upfront.
Prior to joining InnovationsKapital, Gunnar held various positions within SCA Mölnlycke including Managing Director of the Health Care Division, Managing Director of the Absorbent Product Supply Division, and Executive Vice President of the SCA Mölnlycke Group. He has a MSc in Chemical Engineering and an IMD Geneva in International Marketing.

Ulf Tossman
Investment Director of InnovationsKapital. Since Ulf joined InnovationsKapital in 2005, he has been actively involved in six healthcare company investments, among them Action Pharma, Ipsat, Isconova and Jolife, all of which he is on the board of.
Prior to joining InnovationsKapital Ulf was at Carnegie Asset Management. At Carnegie, he raised and managed a global healthcare fund, mainly investing in privately held companies. During this time he invested in 11 companies, 6 of which subsequently went public. Before joining the venture capital industry, Ulf had different executive positions in global pharmaceutical companies, including Astra, Schering AG, and Fresenius Kabi.
He has a PhD in Pharmacology from the Karolinska Institutet.

Johan Rask
Investment Manager of InnovationsKapital. Johan has been involved in over 15 investments in various portfolio companies since he joined InnovationsKapital in 2000. Johan has led and negotiated investments in all Nordic countries and has actively worked with almost all companies in the Life Science portfolio.
Current main responsibilities include Isconova, Santosolve, Cellartis, and Ludesi. Johan is also working closely with Action Pharma, Ipsat Therapies, and Cellectricon.
Johan holds a MSc from Chalmers University of Technology and has participated in a range of different educational seminars, PhD courses (The Karolinska Institutet) as well as industry conferences. Johan is also an officer in the reserves of the Swedish Armed Forces.

He has held positions as CEO at Medivir AB (listed on NASDAQ OMX), GlaxoWellcome AB (Sweden) and GlaxoSmithKline GmbH (Austria). Additionally, Lars has gained experience from a position as senior financial analyst at Handelsbanken Capital Markets (Denmark). Lars has served on the board of The Swedish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, has been a board member of numerous subsidiaries within Medivir and Glaxo and has a wealth of experience from board work in a listed company gained during his six years at Medivir. Since 2003. He also serves on the board of SwedenBIO, one of the biggest life science trade associations in Europe.
